The IAA Teen Open Studio Art
(Tuesdays 10 to noon)
Teen open studio time, ages 13-18. 10 am to 12 pm. June 7,14,28 July 12,19,26 and August 2,9. Sign up for all or just a few of the dates. Each class is just $10.
Join local art teacher Alicia Rae and bring your own project to receive help from a professional instructor when you need it. Expect to grow your skill in chosen media techniques and to set up compositions.
Grow your spiritual connection with God our Master creator, and awareness of the beauty of God and how we can shine His light by partnering with Him in creating excellent works of art. This will be accomplished through scripture themes.
Basic supplies will be provided (Pencils, paper, scissors, oil pastels, watercolors, acrylic paints.)
Please use our East Side (22nd Street) entrance. Go to the door with the big flame. When you go in those doors, take your first right and you will find your class.

Drawing on Scripture

Painting the Heavens
July 12 (Watercolor), 19 (acrylic), 26 (Mixed media)
Sculpting Treasures
August 2 (wire), 9 (found objects)
Each lesson will begin with a meditation on a scripture passage, and students will be encouraged to use ideas from their meditations in their artworks.

Bugs and Butterflies
June 9 (watercolor lighting bugs), 16 (printing ND Honey bees),
30 (Scribble butterflies with oil pastels and vegetable oil)
Growing Things
July 7 (paint a garden with acrylics), 14 (O'Keeffe flowers in watercolor and Sharpie marker), 21 (Apple tree drawings in mixed media)
Summer Trips
July 28 (tent cut-outs under stars with oil pastels)
August 4 (Sandcastles on sandpaper with oil pastels) 11 (Mosaic picture frames for favorite summer memory photo)
