The Bible

God's Story, divinely inspired, and without error.  It is the primary authority and trustworthy for faith and living.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Trinity

God existing in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  These three persons exist in eternal relationship with one another, thus modeling the value of relationship to His creation.  (Genesis 1; Deuteronomy 6:4-5 Mattheew 3:16-17; 28: 19-20; John 14:6-27; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:4-6)

Jesus

The God-man, both fully God and fully man.  He was born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life on Earth.  His teaching, works of love, miraculous healing, and mercy are signs of the coming Kingdom of God.  He became humanity's ultimate sacrifice by being crucified on the cross and paying our penalty for sin.  Three days later he was resurrected from the dead and conquered death, opening the door for those who put their faith in Him to experience salvation. (Matthew 1:20-25; 16:15-16;

Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1-18; Acts 2:22-36; Romans 8:3; 32-34; Galatians 4:45; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:12-22; Hebrews 1:1-5; 7:22-28; 9:24-28; 1 John 4:15)

The Holy Spirit

The ever-present and active presence of God in the world.  He is the spirit that regenerates those who repent and believe.  It is the spirit that empowers followers of Jesus.  It is the spirit that guides people into truth, and it is the spirit that convicts us of our sin.  (John14:15-18; 16:7-15; Acts 15:8-9; Romans 8:1-27; 2 Thessalonians 2:13;

1 John 3:24)

Salvation

A gift from God through Jesus' work on the cross.  It gives freedom from sin and restores our broken lives.  Salvation begins in faith in this life, transforming believers into people who will have the capacity to inherit the Kingdom of God when it comes in its fullness.  It is for all who choose to put their faith in Christ.  It is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.  (John 3:16-17; 14:6; Romans 3:21-26; 5; 6:14;  Galatians 2:20-21; Ephesians 2: 1-9; 1 John 1:9)

The Church

Has the mission of continuing the redemptive work of Christ in all places, at all times, and in all cultures.  It is not a building.  It has no walls and knows no boundaries.  It is men, women, and children who follow Jesus and share in His mission, and use all tools available to share the Gospel to the world.  It is a community committed to the cause of Christ.  (Jeremiah 29:4-7; Matthew 22:34-40; Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 2:42-47;

Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 4:12-14; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
